Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) revealed the pilot use of ChatGPT on its website through Rammas, DEWA's virtual employee, beginning in April 2023, as part of its strategy to employ artificial intelligence (AI) technologies across all of its operations and services.

Moreover , Rammas has successfully responded to over seven million inquiries since its introduction in the first quarter of 2017 and will continue to do so until the end of April 2023. It will also improve its ability to learn, comprehend, and interpret consumer inquiries based on available data and facts, allowing it to react quickly and accurately.
DEWA is implementing ChatGPT to enhance its services. As it is considered to be the world's first utility and the UAE's first government agency to utilise this cutting-edge technology as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen its leadership locally and worldwide.
