Abu Dhabi provides citizens and foreigners with a free WiFi service for the use of the Internet in all regions.

Across the whole emirate, Abu Dhabi has introduced free public Wi-Fi.

Under this new effort, residents and visitors to Abu Dhabi will be able to maintain their connection regardless of whether they are on a bus or sitting in a park.

Residents and visitors alike can now take advantage of free Wi-Fi throughout the entire city of Abu Dhabi.

It was reported on Friday that the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) has begun providing free Wi-Fi access throughout the whole emirate. This coverage includes buses, beaches, and public parks.

In addition to covering public parks (19 in Abu Dhabi, 11 in Al Ain, and 14 in Al Dhafra Region), the programme will soon be available at Abu Dhabi Corniche Beach and Al Bateen ach. In collaboration with service providers in the United Arab Emirates, the Department of Municipality and Transportation (DMT) is providing it.

The chairman of the DMT, Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, recently made the following statement: "We are proud to offer this service, which ensures connectivity for everyone across all locations." The fact that Abu Dhabi placed thirteenth out of 141 cities in the IMD Smart City Index 2023 attests to our commitment to openness, innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability. This ranking serves as a confirmation of our dedication to the development of smart cities internationally.
