The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has issued a compelling call to private sector companies with a workforce of 50 or more employees, emphasising the need to expedite the achievement of Emiratisation targets for the year 2023.
The Ministry Urges Private Companies for Swift Emiratization Compliance in 2023
The specific objective is to attain emigration rates, marked by a growth rate of 2% in skilled positions, before the conclusion of December. Failing to meet these benchmarks could result in financial contributions for companies found to be non-compliant.
To streamline this process, companies that are yet to fulfil their obligations are encouraged to utilise the "Nafis" platform, a resource designed to facilitate the selection of qualified Emirati talent across various fields to meet the required positions.
Recognition for Commitment
Commending the dedication of more than 18,000 companies that have actively prioritised the employment of citizens and adhered to Emiratization decisions and policies, the Ministry expresses gratitude. In acknowledgment of this commitment, companies aligning with these initiatives and becoming members of the Emiratisation Partners Club stand to gain exclusive benefits.
These perks include significant reductions of up to 80% in Ministry fees and priority status in the government procurement system, a collaborative effort with the Ministry of Finance. This recognition serves as an incentive to foster a culture of compliance and collaboration within the private sector.
Fostering a skilled workforce
The Ministry's emphasis on emancipation aligns with the broader national vision of cultivating a skilled and diversified workforce. By urging companies to accelerate their Emiratization efforts, the Ministry aims to propel the nation closer to its goals of increased representation of Emirati talent in skilled positions.
The "Nafis" platform emerges as a valuable tool in this endeavour, providing a streamlined approach to identifying and appointing qualified Emiratis. Through this proactive approach and the acknowledgment of committed companies, the Ministry seeks to create a robust framework for sustained Emiratization success, contributing to the overall economic development and prosperity of the nation.
