His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, confirmed via the “X” platform: “We thank God for His blessing and grace for the safety of everyone in the UAE as a result of the exceptional weather condition that we experienced.. Our country is in good health and safety, with the follow-up, diligence and leadership of my brother, the President of the State, may God protect him... and with the efforts of the sincere teams of citizens and residents who continue day and night.”

The Prime Minister added: "Crises reveal the strength of countries and societies... and the natural climate crisis that we experienced showed keenness, awareness, cohesion and great love for every corner of the state from all its citizens and residents... May God protect the UAE and its society and perpetuate its glory, pride and safety."

Conversely, the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority has established a series of precautionary measures to mitigate the hazards posed by heavy rain, lightning, and thunderstorms. These measures include staying at home and refraining from leaving unless absolutely necessary, as well as refraining from using mobile phones in public areas during thunderstorms. Park vehicles at remote, secure, and elevated locations above meandering valleys, reefs, and bodies of water.

The governing body recommended against permitting children to engage in outdoor play under atypical weather circumstances, and recommended the placement of objects that may become airborne as a result of strong winds, such as metal panels and television networks, among others.

According to her, individuals who are outside their residence should endeavor to locate a low, secure location and refrain from standing beneath tall, isolated trees and electricity poles. Additionally, they should exercise caution when operating a vehicle in areas inundated with water, as the forceful flow of water may result in the loss of control over the vehicle. It is important to note the necessity of maintaining a safe distance from electrical power lines.

She emphasized the importance of disconnecting the electrical current from home appliances during thunderstorms to safeguard them from the flow of current in case a lightning bolt passes through the home network. Additionally, it is crucial to promptly relocate to the nearest building or car to seek a secure shelter.

Additionally, it emphasized the need of refraining from using or standing in elevated locations and on the rooftops of structures, particularly those that are now being built.
