The Ministry of Immigration makes new decisions for the Canadian government regarding immigration to Canada and temporary visas.
'Voluntary migration' in Gaza was not supported by a minister from Canada, according to Ottawa.
The Ministry of Immigration in Canada has recently issued new regulations.
According to Jeffrey MacDonald, a communications adviser for the Canadian Department of Immigration and Refugees, the minister did not support the concept, contrary to the reports that were circulating.
Decisions that have been made regarding immigration to Canada
In a trip to Israel, the Minister of Immigration for Canada did not support Israeli plans for the so-called "voluntary migration" of Palestinians to the North American state, according to the statement released by the Canadian government.
There were reports that Marc Miller had indicated his country's support, according to the official Turkish news agency Anadolu, which stated that there were reports.
However, Jeffrey MacDonald, a communications adviser with the Canadian Department of Immigration and Refugees, refuted these claims and claimed that they were untrue.
The newspaper Israel Hayom quoted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as saying to members of his Likud party earlier that "our problem" is nations that are eager to accept Palestinians from Gaza. This news comes after Netanyahu made this statement.
Danny Danon, an Israeli politician and member of the Likud, stated that "the world is effectively discussing" the topic of Gazans fleeing the strip. He also stated that Miller had "spoken openly about" the matter.
"So did [the candidate for the Republican nomination for president of the United States] Nikki Haley," Danon remarked. In order to address the issue of those who wish to leave Gaza and travel to a third country, we need to establish a team within Israel.
A merciless war that Israel has been conducting on the Gaza Strip has resulted in the deaths of 21,672 people throughout the region in a period of less than three months.
A number of places, including residential structures, houses of worship, hospitals, and ambulances, have been targeted, and the living conditions have been completely destroyed.
According to MacDonald, the government of Canada is working together with regional partners to facilitate the departure of its nationals, residents, and relatives who meet the requirements from Gaza.
Visas for temporary stays in Canada
According to him, a program would be developed to enable Gazans who have family members living in Canada to apply for temporary visas.
MacDonald was quoted as saying that the government would give priority to the evaluation of current petitions from Palestinians who had familial ties to Canada, according to the English edition of Anadolu.
There was no mention of him being quoted in the Arabic edition of the news agency as indicating that the requests that were already in existence would be given priority.
