The United Kingdom has made the announcement that, beginning in 2024, certain countries will no longer require visas.
The British government's explanation states that all Gulf countries, including Jordan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, Qatar, and the Emirates, will switch over to the electronic travel authorization system (ETA), which does away with the need for a visit visa.
Regarding the date of application for the visa exemption, the government has confirmed that it will be after the date of February 22, 2024. The tourist will be required to submit an application in order to obtain a travel permit electronically worth 10 British pounds for all ages, regardless of whether they are adults, children, or even infants. This permit will be issued to the tourist. This permission is valid for a period of two years, beginning on February 1 of the following year, and the process of getting it takes only around three working days.
This electronic permit will allow its holders to enter the United Kingdom and reside there for a period of six months as a tourist, or to visit a relative, or for the purpose of conducting business, or for short-term studies, or to obtain transit visas through airports in the United Kingdom, or for temporary work for a period of three months.
