The Prime Minister of the Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, approved the granting of golden residency to the families of outstanding and brilliant students in the UAE, where a golden residency visa is granted for a period of 10 years to high school students and first and foremost university graduates, in addition to graduates of the 100 best universities in the world.
This decision is subject to several conditions that must be met, as the decision depends on the cumulative average of the students’ grades, whether inside or outside the courses, in addition to the year of graduation and university classification.
A 10-year residence visa includes students’ families in the UAE
Students who meet the aforementioned conditions, which include obtaining golden residency in the UAE for 10 years, can sponsor their graduation year and university classification.
It is also necessary for individuals and families of outstanding students residing in the UAE to undergo a medical fitness examination for those aged 18 years and above, in order to prove health fitness, with the condition also of passing the security examination, after which they can apply to obtain a resident ID card from the Federal Identity Authority. And nationality.
Conditions for granting outstanding students golden residency for 10 years in the UAE
According to the decision issued by the UAE government, the UAE Cabinet, No. 8 of 2021, the golden residency does not entitle its holder to obtain Emirati citizenship. The conditions for issuing a golden residency visa in the UAE for outstanding students include the following:
- Outstanding students (high school students).
- Outstanding students (university students) - the cumulative GPA should not be less than (3.8).
- Distinguished graduates or recent graduates from the top 100 universities in the world according to special requirements for cumulative GPA, year of graduation and university classification.
