UAE airline issues advisory for travelers as lounge undergoes refurbishment

The airline reassured customers that the lounges on Concourses B, A, and C can be used until further notice.

Emirates, the UAE carrier, announced on Friday that its lounge situated at Concourse B of Dubai International Airport (DXB) is currently undergoing renovations, resulting in certain meal options being unavailable for passengers. This lounge primarily serves first-class passengers traveling with the airline, and Emirates assured travelers that they could still utilize lounges on Concourses A and C during this period.

In a statement posted on its website, Emirates informed customers about the ongoing transformation of the First Class Lounge on Concourse B, cautioning them about potential disturbances due to the refurbishment work. Despite these limitations, passengers were encouraged to make use of the full lounge facilities available on Concourses A and C.

The First Class Lounge amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, spa treatments, direct boarding services, access to a business center, and a designated quiet area for travelers seeking relaxation.

Access to the First Class lounge is complimentary for passengers flying in First Class and for Emirates Skywards Platinum members. However, travelers who are not eligible for free entry have the option to pay for access to Emirates lounges in Dubai and selected lounges worldwide.

Emirates has implemented contactless facial recognition technology for entry into its airport lounges, offering passengers a seamless and efficient experience. This biometric airport path can be registered for at check-in by simply taking a quick photo.

Emirates operates 490 flights daily, serving an impressive 215,000 meals worldwide every day, with 149 meals served every minute. To meet this demand, the airline employs 1,400 chefs at the expansive Emirates Flight Catering Facility in Dubai and through partner caterers globally.
