Authorities warn residents of heavy rains in many areas of the Emirates

Weather in the UAE: Today is predicted to be very rainy in several areas.

Authorities asked drivers to put safety first by being cautious and staying home while it's raining.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a forecast that predicts significant rainfall for Monday in the northern, eastern, and coastal regions of the United Arab Emirates. These regions include portions of Abu Dhabi as well as Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, Ajman, and Al Ain. Dubai's Jumeirah may experience some rain as well.

Today's weather in the UAE is predicted to be mostly cloudy to partly cloudy, with a probability of light to moderate rainfall and a discernible drop in temperature.

Additionally, the NCM warns of rising humidity through Tuesday morning and into the night, with the chance of fog or light fog appearing in certain inland areas.

It is expected that there will be light to moderate winds, which may occasionally be fresh and may blow dust along with the clouds. It is predicted that the Arabian Gulf will experience rough seas, while the Oman Sea will see moderate to rough seas.

Heavy rain fell in Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah also saw significant rainfall: As the Met Department had anticipated, rain fell on Sunday night in certain parts of the nation. Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah have also had rain.

A weak surface pressure system and the extension of an upper-level low-pressure system are currently affecting the UAE, resulting in cloud cover and rain.

Police issued warnings to drivers due to heavy rain in Abu Dhabi

In Abu Dhabi, police warned drivers of the severe rain: Abu Dhabi Police advises drivers to put their safety first by exercising caution and avoiding unnecessary travel during periods of rain and turbulence. They stress the significance of obeying speed limits and, when applicable, speed reduction laws.

To stop cars from slipping, drivers are urged to keep a safe distance from other cars, refrain from abrupt braking, and slow down when turning. In addition, motorists are advised to stop on the side of the road if their visibility is impaired.
