In order to make the announcement that the timing of the rush-hour limit would be changing during the holy month of Ramadan, the police went to social media. Trucks and buses that transport more than fifty workers are subject to the limitation.

It was announced by General Mahmoud Youssef Al Balushi, who is the Director of the Directorate of Traffic and Security Patrols of the Central Operations Sector, that heavy vehicles will not be permitted to operate on the roadways of Abu Dhabi during the morning and evening peak hours.

From eight in the morning until ten in the morning, the cities of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain will be the locations where the prohibition will be put into effect. In the evenings during the holy month of Ramadan, the most busy times are between the hours of two and four o'clock.

It was brought to his attention that there will be traffic patrols stationed on every road and that the use of intelligent systems will be increased to enhance traffic control.
