Abu Dhabi authority shut down Happy Grassland Restaurant & Grill for this reason

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority has taken decisive action against the "Happy Grassland Hot Pot" restaurant and grill on Airport Road in Abu Dhabi.

The authority has ordered this establishment, operating under commercial license No. CN-1193111, to close its doors due to multiple violations of food safety laws outlined in Law No. 2 of 2008 for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, posing a significant risk to public health.

The authority's decision to close the facility stems from a series of repeated infractions that compromise the safety of food products. Despite being cited for these violations, the restaurant failed to implement effective corrective measures. Specifically, the violations include issues such as insect infestation, poor cleanliness standards in food handling areas, and improper storage of cooked food items, leaving them vulnerable to contamination.

This administrative closure will remain in effect until the establishment rectifies its deficiencies and meets all regulatory requirements. Only then will the establishment receive permission to resume operations. The authority stresses the importance of addressing the root causes of the violations to prevent their recurrence.

The closure and enforcement of violations are part of the authority's ongoing efforts to bolster the food safety framework across Abu Dhabi. It underscores the supervisory role in ensuring that all food-related establishments adhere to stringent safety protocols. Regardless of their size or offerings, all establishments are subject to routine inspections to verify compliance with food safety standards.

The authority urges the public to report any observed violations or concerns regarding food items through the Abu Dhabi Government's toll-free hotline (800-555-555). By doing so, individuals can contribute to the maintenance of a safe and healthy food environment for all residents of Abu Dhabi.
