Gulf Air launches new Bahrain flights to Switzerland, Greece, Spain, UK, Italy

For the summer of 2024, Gulf Air will provide more flight routes from Bahrain to Switzerland, Greece, and Spain, giving tourists more alternatives for where to go on vacation.

In an effort to accommodate the heightened demand for travel from June to September, the national carrier will expand its network to include Geneva, Rhodes, Mykonos, and Malaga.

Different kinds of planes will fly to these four locations. The Airbus A321neo will fly twice weekly to Geneva, while the A320neo will fly twice weekly to Rhodes and Mykonos, respectively. The Boeing B787-9 will operate three flights per week out of Malaga.

The flight schedule for these new routes is as follows:

  • Geneva, serviced through Milan, will operate from June 4 to September 27.
  • Malaga flights will run from June 17 to September 28.
  • Mykonos will be connected with Rhodes from June 1 to September 28.

In response to the increasing demand, Gulf Air will also ramp up its services to Manchester, Rome, Milan, and Muscat. Flights to Manchester, UK, will increase from four to five times a week starting on July 5, utilizing the Boeing B787-9 aircraft.

For routes to Rome via Milan, the frequency will jump from three to six flights, with Milan itself seeing an increase from daily to 10 weekly flights, commencing on July 2. Moreover, flights to Muscat, Oman, will surge from nine to sixteen weekly flights, starting April 15.

These enhancements in flight frequency and destinations reflect Gulf Air's commitment to providing passengers with enhanced flexibility, choice, and connectivity, catering to the evolving needs of travelers.
