UAE Government: Conditions for renewing a residence visa before its expiry date (for reasons of travel)

With regard to the possibility of renewing the residence visa before its expiry date, the government indicated that if the customer has reasons that require him to renew it before its expiry from one to six months (for reasons of travel, health conditions, or others).

He must obtain prior approval from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in the emirate that issued the visa. As for the requirements for renewing a residence visa, she explained that the same necessary conditions must be met for issuing a visa for the first time, whether for residents to sponsor their families, or to sponsor a work visa.

She indicated that the basic requirements for renewing a residence visa are a sponsor with a valid residency, passing the mandatory health fitness examination for those over the age of 18, a health insurance card (which is currently mandatory in the emirates of Dubai and Abu Dhabi), and renewing the identity card from the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship. ICA), and some documents must be attached when submitting the application, which is the application form submitted online, or through licensed typing offices to the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in the concerned emirate, the original passport of the sponsored, and a personal photo of the sponsored.
