Dr. Ali Al-Kandari, at the invitation of the Faculty Association, discussed the issue of the delay in disbursing the additional burden dues for the first semester of the academic year 2023/2024, and the reasons for this delay, and called for speedy action to facilitate the disbursement procedures currently.
The association also called for working to speed up the procedures for disbursing male and female colleagues’ dues during the next two weeks, and it was agreed to avoid this in the future by developing an appropriate mechanism to speed up the disbursement process on the specified dates in order to ensure the stability of the university work system.
Activating teachers’ fingerprint in schools:
The Acting Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Education, Anwar Al-Hamdan, met with the President of the Teachers’ Association, Hamad Al-Houli, to study new matters regarding the issue of teachers’ fingerprints in schools.
Al-Hamdan pointed out that the coming period requires coordinating all the efforts of people in the educational field, and taking their observations seriously to try to meet their needs and requirements, and studying them so that efforts and resources can be directed more effectively, It also represents an important step that precedes the actual implementation stage.
Al-Hamdan explained that all the technical and administrative aspects related to activating the fingerprint as the sole proof of attendance and departure in the Ministry of Education were discussed, and the meeting was held in the presence of the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education in charge Hessa Al-Mutawa, the Assistant Undersecretary for Specific Special Education Dr. Salman Al-Lafi, and the Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs, Faisal Al-Jutaili, and specialists from the Information Systems and Administrative Affairs Department.
School hours during Ramadan:
Informed educational sources stated that school administrations’ working hours during the holy month of Ramadan will be within the framework of the timing announced by the Civil Service Commission, indicating the keenness of educational institutions to take into account the conditions of students and their parents, as well as traffic congestion.
The sources continued that each educational stage has its own working time, pointing out that the Ministry will issue a bulletin explaining the study plans according to each educational stage to be implemented during the holy month, adding that the Ministry of Education announced the opening of registration for requests for internal and external transfer for male and female teachers, which will continue until the 31st. March through its website.
