Obtaining an eVisa is simpler because you can finish the process online in a matter of minutes rather than physically going to the country's consulate or going through a third-party agent.

1. Saudi Arabia GCC eVisa

Residents of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) of all professions are eligible to apply online for a Saudi eVisa and enter the country for up to 90 days.

You can travel around the nation, pay visits to loved ones, and conduct Umrah at any time of the year with this eVisa, with the exception of the Hajj season.

Residents of the UAE must have a three-month residency permit and a passport valid for at least six months. You can apply for a visa through the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs' (MOFA) visa platform at https://visa.mofa.gov.sa/.

Validity of an eVisa

The length of your stay depends on the type of visa you apply for, according to Saudi Arabia's official tourism website, visitsaudi.com:

  • The multiple-entry tourist visa is valid for one year from the date of issuance and allows you to stay in Saudi Arabia for up to 90 days.
  • The single-entry tourist visa is valid for three months from the date of issuance, with a maximum stay of 30 days in Saudi Arabia.

2. Japan eVisa

Applying for a visa to Japan is also much easier for UAE citizens now, thanks to a statement made earlier this year by Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the release, all foreign nationals residing in the UAE and Saudi Arabia can apply online for a short-term tourist visa through Japan's official eVisa website, www.evisa.mofa.go.jp.

Duration and validity of an eVisa

• Duration: According to Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a short-term visa for tourism is valid for 90 days.
• Validity: The eVisa is valid for three months from the day it is granted.

3. eVisa for Azerbaijan

Residents of the UAE who want to visit Azerbaijan can either acquire a visa on arrival stamped on their passport when they arrive or apply for an eVisa in advance. With one of these visas, you can stay in the country for up to 30 days.

Chinnar Travels recently explained that the benefit of filing for an eVisa was less time spent at the airport after you arrived.

4. Oman eVisa for GCC residents of approved professions

If you are a UAE-based expatriate considering a trip to Oman, you can apply for an eVisa that permits you to stay in the country for up to 30 days.

The 'GCC Resident Visa' issued by Royal Oman Police (ROP) is an unsponsored visit visa that GCC residents can apply for using Oman's official eVisa platform, evisa.rop.gov.om.

5. Qatar eVisa for GCC residents

The GCC Resident Visa can be applied for on the new Hayya Portal at haya.qa, and GCC citizens of all professions can stay in the country for up to 30 days, according to a recent announcement from Qatar.

You must have been a resident of the UAE or one of the GCC countries for at least three months as of the date of your arrival in Qatar in order to qualify for the visa, and your job title must correspond to the occupation listed on your residence visa.
